About the scope

Q: Will the zine be physical or digital? Profit or charity?
A: The zine will be digital only and for charity. The exact charity we'll donate to will be decided later on. Contributors will make suggestions and a poll will be created from them.
Q: Are there plans to have merch?
A: Yes. I will open contributor apps for digital merch too.
Q: I just want to confirm there will be no need to share our wallet names at any point in the process.
A: Indeed. The zine is for charity, not for profit, so I don't need this information from the contributors.

About the content

Q: Are ships allowed?
A: No. Contributors are encouraged to explore Barok's relationships in a platonic way only.
Q: Will this zine include spoilers?
A: Yes, spoilers for both DGS games are to be expected. It is preferred to finish the games before applying.
Q: What is the level of canon compliance expected of this project? What timeframes can we play with in our pieces (kid Barok, university era, dgs1/2, possible future years post-game)?
A: Pre-canon, in game and post canon are all allowed. Alternate universes are allowed too. Representing Barok as Nyanzieks and other characters as their mascots is also allowed.
Q: Is NSFW allowed?
A: No. All content will be SFW (fics rated G or T). This is to ensure all contributors and buyers will be comfortable with the content.

About moderation

Q: How experienced is the moderator? What measures are put in place to prevent fund embezzlement? Are there plans to take additional mods before applications open?
A: I have run one for free and digital only zine before. This project is small, I don't plan to recruit additional mods. As a consequence, I'll be handling it all on my own, finances included.

About contributors

Q: Can I apply for multiple roles?
A: Yes, you will need to fill out the separate application forms for each of these roles.
Q: What is your stance on potential contributors who are engaging or have in the past engaged with 'problematic' material?
A: Anybody can apply to the project as long as they haven't harassed anyone or been a danger to the fandom. Past or present contributions have no bearing on whether they'll be allowed or not.
Q: How would the zine moderator handle potential conflict between explicitly "proship" and "anti" contributors?
A: The zine is gen. Contributors are encouraged to explore Barok's relationships in a platonic way only, which should limit potential conflictual discussions about ships. A discord server will be created for communications, contributors are encouraged to join it. I expect all contributors to be respectful to each other and to not start discourse in the server or outside of it. Contributors who fail to comply to these rules will be removed from the server. On rare circumstances they may be removed from the project entirely.
Q: I am worried about the safety of the participants when it comes to harassment, since Barok is a controversial character
A: I understand your concern. First, I won't allow in any contributor with a past of harassment. Second, as a contributor, you can choose to not have a contributor spotlight posted on the zine twt. If you want to keep your contribution anonymous, you can also choose to not be credited in the final product.
